The Cherangani Hills, rising to 3,400 m, are the most extensive mountain range in Kenya, and contain some of the finest hill walking in the country. These range from difficult treks for seasoned walkers to various combinations of driving and walking, which exploit the network of rural access roads and sheep tracks which cross the hills. The revised handbook of the Mountain Club of Kenya and David Else's guide to hill walking in Kenya, contain fertile sources of inspiration.
